Meet the Team

Aemelia Manier has over fifteen years of editing and proofreading experience. She enjoys reading historical, paranormal, contemporary, suspense, and erotic romance. She also likes to mix in horror and science fiction to keep things fresh. Aemelia has lived in small towns and big cities both in the Midwest and the deep South. She is a military veteran, has worked in large corporate offices and small mom-and-pop businesses. When she's not reading, you will find her spending time with her family and friends, paper crafting, or writing.

Alyssa Palmer is a civil servant by day and writer by night. She keeps her trusty red pen by her side. It helps her pay the rent and spoil her three cats rotten. When she’s not working or writing, she can be found taking in the latest flick at the art cinema or prowling the aisles of her local used bookstore. You can find Alyssa on Twitter, or at her website, Musings of a Writer and Unabashed Francophile.

Amber Griffin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2013 with a degree in English and Sociology. She also has plans to pursue a graduate degree in Criminology. She has worked as a customer service specialist, an optician, and a literacy tutor. Amber has been an avid reader since she was little. She has a soft spot for the classics, such as Pride and Prejudice and Crime and Punishment (her favorites!), and her guilty pleasures are reading thrillers and watching romantic comedies.

Jenn Howard found herself in a thrilling new career as a graphic designer in 1999, when her dad looked at her and said “Want a job?” She was broke, her credit card debt was piling up, and (after six years of him asking) she finally said “Yes.” And, that’s why there’s a bullet casing in her headerbecause of her dad. Who knew it would start a lifelong love affair with fonts and Photoshop? Perhaps he did. So that’s Jenn in a nutshell. Outside of the nutshell she also writes erotic romances and new adult romances, and buys a disturbing amount of books—so she's a total book junkie with an addiction to fonts, Photoshop, and stock photos. Designing ebook covers just seemed a natural fit.

Martina Dalton is a graphic designer with more than twenty years of experience in the field. She has worked in multimedia, software, and print—designing for companies like Boeing and Microsoft. In addition, she is also an author who writes young adult fiction and lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family. Born and raised in Alaska, she can nimbly catch a fish, dress for rain, and know what to do when encountering a grizzly bear. Now living in the Seattle area, she uses those same skills to navigate through rush-hour traffic.

Steve McCune is a self-taught artist and has been drawing from a very young age. He's been interested in graphic design for many years and is grateful he's had the chance to design book covers over this past year. Steve is currently working on his degree in graphic design with the International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT), and looks forward to a long and rewarding relationship with the Novel Needs crew and all the indie authors out there.

Wendy Keel is a daughter, wife, mother of two, part owner in a business she runs with her husband, co-owner of a personal website promoting authors/books, as well as a reader and reviewer, and last but not least is a personal assistant to authors, Diane Capri and Jennifer Bernard just to name a couple—so you know she has the experience you need when it comes to leading the Author’s Personal Assistant team! Wendy loves to help others succeed and fulfill their dreams. Connect with Wendy on TwitterFacebook, or personal blog.
